Battambang may not be one of the top listed tourist spots in Cambodia. However, we believe it is one of the places you must visit, even if you are a local or a tourist.
Battambang boasts of having the most delicious food in the country. In fact, a quick drive around the area will show guests several food stands, small shops with specialty dishes, and it is just food everywhere!
Locals are proud of this, too. They will definitely tell you that the food in Battambang is one of the best. So far, we cannot deny this.
មីកូឡា (MiKoLa)
មីកូឡា (MiKoLa) is one of the signature dishes that Battambang has. It is a MUST try if you find yourself in town.
One of the shops that sells “the best” មីកូឡា (MiKoLa) is the shop below (see picture).

Aside from this signature noodle dish, the shop also sells traditional Khmer dishes like fish amok, among others. So you can always a little more when you dine at the restaurant.
Be sure to drop by and taste this dish when you can. Check out the Bamboo Trains also in Battambang on your visit!
