Among the many NGOs and Startups in Cambodia, there is one small group that is giving back to Cambodia’s youth, which is the Coconut School Cambodia.
It is a fact that the educational system in Cambodia is not at par with the rest of the world. Unfortunately, the bigger issue is that there are still more children who are unable to get the education they deserve due to the poverty that Cambodia is steeped in.
This is one of the motivations that drives the brains and heart behind the Coconut School Cambodia.

About Coconut School Cambodia
The Coconut School is a small group that has grown from a small school in Koh Dach Island, to opening another school at Kirirom, Kampong Speu. The school reaches out to less privileged children, giving them a place to learn and grow. This has opened up many opportunities for the youth that would have otherwise gone through life without guidance.
As the saying goes, “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”

The group first and foremost teaches children about life and being good people, and using their knowledge to help others. Apart from learning about these fundamental principles of life, the school also teaches the students English, Computer skills, and math. In addition, they are taught recycling of goods.
